Organization Overview
The Crowded Bookshelf is a woman-owned, independent pop-up and online bookstore based in Fort Collins, CO. Our store carries new and used books for all ages in all genres, as well as provides audiobooks through our partnership with Libro.fm. We offer a unique and curated selection of books that aren't likely to be found on the bestseller lists.
Our shop specializes in books on death & dying and sex & relationships. We value advocating for a more death positive and sex positive society.
We also carry an assortment of gift items and bookish paraphernalia. Whenever possible we source these items from other small or locally owned businesses.
Our store mission is threefold:
Putting the right book into a reader's hands
Creating a welcoming environment for all readers
Supporting and giving back to the community that we are a part of
