Reading the West Book Award Nomination

By purchasing a nomination for a title, you are confirming that you have read and understand the CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY:

• Titles must be originally published in 2024.
• Books must be predominantly set in/or about the MPIBA Region, and/or the work of authors or illustrators who live in one of the states of the MPIBA region:
  • Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wyoming
• Books must be available for bookstores to purchase for resale through mainstream distribution or wholesale channels at standard retail terms:
  • 40% wholesale discount or better
  • Fully returnable.
• You must be able to ship finished copies of the nominated title to the each member of the category Reading Committee no later than 2/7/25.
  • You will receive committee member names and addresses the first week of December, 2024.

Books that do not meet the above criteria will be removed from the longlist and no refunds will be issued.
